About Us
Ms. D’s TLC Child Care is a 5-star, state-licensed family child care program in Fayetteville, NC, owned and operated by Denishia Stewart. Our program blends the warmth of a home environment with the structure and quality of a classroom. Because we intentionally keep our group small, each child receives individualized attention, consistent routines, and meaningful learning experiences designed to support their growth, confidence, and development.
At Ms. D’s TLC, our philosophy is built on Trust, Love, and Care (TLC)—helping children feel confident, supported, and excited to learn each day.
As the wife of a retired U.S. Army soldier and a former military childcare provider, Ms. D understands the unique challenges military families face. Frequent moves and changing duty stations can be difficult for young children, which is why she strives to provide a consistent environment where children feel secure and learn to trust, and where parents can Trust that their children will be Loved and Cared for each day, the heart of the TLC philosophy.

Many families choose home child care over larger centers because of the smaller group sizes, stronger relationships, consistent caregivers, and personalized attention children receive creating a close-knit environment where every child is known, valued, and supported. Learning Skills
Each day is filled with opportunities for children to learn, explore, and have fun. Our program focuses on play-based learning, early literacy, math readiness, sensory exploration, social-emotional development, and outdoor play. Children enjoy a predictable daily routine that includes meals, circle time, hands-on learning activities, nap time, snacks, and plenty of creative and outdoor play.
Reading/Writing
Children learn the basics of phonetics, letter recognition, and writing. They practice reading simple words recognized at the pre-k level and writing their names.
Math/Science
Our children enjoying sciences of all aspects. We create stations play and numbers learning to prepare our children for scientific curiousity.
Art
Each week artistic creativity is encouraged. There is not limit to their creative expression, except safety.
Critical Thinking
Our children are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills through guided curiousity, exploration, and probelm-solving with everyday play and conversation.
